Joyce will give a brief history of the science between genes and diseases, including the Human Genome Project. She will discuss the Genetics Home Reference, a project she started at the National Library of Medicine, which is part of the NIH. This links the results from the Human Genome Project to human diseases. It is still available and kept up to date on the internet.
